This stunning image was created by illustrator Jake Amason, who is based out of Denver, CO. He uses acrylic on canvas to create bold effects with color. I like the spiral motion that the lines and shapes create, which is enhanced by the bold contours of the shapes. The winged shapes just below the eye lead us to imagine this form to be a bird of some sort, however the colors and line-work remind us that we aren't in our natural world when looking at this image. The lines and colors are rendered in a way that the image seems to move, ever so slightly.
